Who says children get to have all the fun?
There are many adult gamers, like myself, out there and I must say, it is a great hobby to get into.
Lately, like most avid gamers, I’ve been spending a great deal of my free time on my Xbox one.
Today, when I was playing a pretty creepy game, I decided that I should make a post detailing the spooky Xbox One games:
The Evil Within
Yes, you knew I was going to add this one. Published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Tango Gameworks, it is a third-person psychological survival horror video game. It was directed by Shinji Mikami, the Resident Evil creator. It focuses on Sebastian Castellanos who is pulled through a nightmarish world filled with scary creatures. I love battling the disfigured enemies – you can use melee weapons and guns. As you progress through levels, you have to avoid traps – it’s a pretty spooky game. I highly recommend playing it in the dark, during the night time.
Being a big Alien fan (I enjoyed everything from the movies to the video games), I just had to include this one on the list. Plus, I got the heebie jeebies when the alien was chasing me in one of the scenes. Regardless, it offers that nice tense, claustrophobic experience. Don’t think it’s creepy? Go ahead and crawl through those air ducts, then say that.
The first time I came across the Wallrider, I didn’t know what to say (I won’t repeat what I said here). The ghostly figure is scary and seemingly indestructible, but within seconds of him showing up, he kills what I thought was the strongest threat in the game by simply showing him through an air vent.
Resident Evil 2: Revelations
The nice remake of the original Resident Evil was a big hit, at least it was in my book. If you are a big fan of Resident Evil, I suggest you go ahead and play this, if you haven’t already.
This is an open-world first person survival horror game that was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Polish. It revolves around an undercover agent that has been sent out to infiltrate a quarantine zone. You will be dealing with an open-world city that is infested with enemies. I enjoy the dynamic day and night cycle in the game. Many people enjoyed the co-operative play, combat, navigation and I must say, the combat was pretty good as well. For months, this was one of the best-selling games.
Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries
Woolfe is a pretty spooky game that I cannot leave off of this list – it’s set to hit the Xbox one sometime in 2015. Here’s little red riding hood, all grown up and armed with an ax. She sets out to avenge her parents and take revenge on B.B Woolfe.
It was developed and published by Grin Gamestudio. This game allows you to explore a fantasy universe that is centered around a city that is paralyzed with fear. Descend into the sewer system, sneak through the slums or travel through the harbor. Enter the evil forest, where wolves, gravity and scary fairies are after you.
There you have 6 spooky Xbox One games. If you are a gamer , you enjoy spooky stuff and you have an Xbox One in your home, you should definitely play each one of these games.
